What Wealthica is, honestly
Wealthica is an investment tracker and budgeting tool from Wealthica Financial Technology Inc., founded in 2015 with offices in Montreal and Toronto. It brings accounts from many institutions into one dashboard on the web, iOS and Android, and says it covers more than 20,000 institutions.
Accounts connect through its own Canadian integrations and, on higher plans, through Plaid and Yodlee. Credentials are stored encrypted and connections are read-only. Data is hosted on AWS in Canada, with some services processed in the US. Plans run from about $50 a year (Connect, 3 Canadian institutions) to about $250 a year (Prestige), with a 14-day trial.
It's a capable product, especially if you hold many accounts. The real difference from Worthy isn't features, it's the approach: Wealthica syncs from your institutions into its cloud, while Worthy never connects to them and keeps everything on your phone.
Where Wealthica wins
Real strengths, no hedging.
Automatic sync from your institutions
Balances, holdings and transactions update on their own once connected, which saves real time if you hold many accounts.
Deeper investment reporting
Balance-sheet and capital-gains reports, Google Sheets and Excel sync, and add-ons such as rebalancing and fee analysis.
Transactions and budgeting
Spending and budgeting live alongside your investments. Worthy is net worth only.
Web dashboard, groups and advisor sharing
Use it in a desktop browser, group accounts by family, business or trust, and share access with an advisor.
Where Worthy wins
Also no hedging.
No bank or brokerage login, ever
Nothing connects to your institutions, so there are no credentials to store and no connections to break or re-sync.
Your data stays on your device
Balances never sit on a company's servers. Back up to your own storage, encrypted, if you want a copy.
One-time price
CA$24.99 once, with a free tier for up to 5 assets, instead of a yearly subscription.
Still updates itself
Stock, ETF and crypto prices refresh automatically, mortgages amortize on schedule and savings accrue interest, so most numbers stay current without any sync.

Wealthica vs Worthy FAQ
