What happened to Moneyhub
In February 2025 Moneyhub announced it was closing its consumer app to focus on business clients, giving existing users 18 months before the app shut down in August 2026. If you used Moneyhub to see your whole financial picture, Worthy is a private net worth tracker that never depends on a company keeping a server running: your data stays on your device, and it is a one-time purchase.
- Moneyhub closed its consumer app in 2026 after announcing the change in February 2025
- Users had to find a new home for years of financial history
- Open Banking connections tie your data to a provider's servers and business model
- When a provider changes direction, your access to your own data goes with it

Is Worthy right for former Moneyhub users?
Choose Worthy if
- You want your net worth kept current without linking your bank
- You want your financial data to stay on your device
- You prefer a one-time purchase to a subscription
Look elsewhere if
You mainly used Moneyhub for budgeting or transaction tracking rather than net worth. Worthy doesn't categorise spending, so an active budgeting app will suit you better.
Moving from Moneyhub to Worthy
- 1
Note your current balances
You only need today's numbers to start: each account, investment, property and debt.
- 2
Add them to Worthy once
Stocks, ETFs and crypto update their prices automatically, mortgages amortize on schedule and savings accrue interest, so most numbers stay current without any bank connection.
- 3
Backfill the history you care about
Add past values month by month on the history timeline, so your net worth chart shows the journey you were on before you switched.
Moneyhub vs Worthy FAQ
Why did Moneyhub close its app?
Moneyhub announced in February 2025 that it would close its direct-to-consumer app to focus on its business (B2B) clients. New sign-ups stopped and existing users were given 18 months, with the app closing in August 2026.
Is Worthy a good Moneyhub alternative?
If you used Moneyhub mainly to track your net worth across savings, investments, pensions and property, yes. Worthy tracks all of those privately on your device, including ISAs and SIPPs. It does not do transaction categorisation or budgeting, so if that was your main use, a budgeting app may suit you better.
Does Worthy use Open Banking?
No. Worthy never connects to your bank. You add your accounts once, and stock, fund and crypto prices update automatically, mortgages amortise on schedule, and savings accrue interest daily, with nothing stored on our servers.
What happens to my data if Worthy closes?
Your data lives on your device, not on our servers, so the app keeps working and you can export or back it up yourself (including encrypted backups to your own Google Drive). You are never dependent on us keeping a service running.
